 If you are looking for the opportunity to showcase your dance skills and compete nationally with a team of excellent dancers… we invite you to audition for Steps Dance Company! It will provide the opportunity to have a very rewarding year of dance, meet new friends, go to new places and have a blast! The Dance Company is for serious students of all ages, who want to excel and are serious about taking their dance abilities to a competitive level and who are willing to make the financial and time commitment to compete with their dance skills. |

| Requirements:

The Mini Company members (ages up to 8 yrs. old) are required to take the appropriate jazz/ballet class as well as the rehearsal class for the dance they are competing in. Summer dance class required… 1 (or more) classes.
 The Junior Elite Company members (ages 8 - 10 yrs. old) are required to take a total of four classes (2 ballet & 1 jazz, & one optional class) as well as the rehearsal class for the dance(s) they are competing in. Summer dance classes: 1 ballet, 1 jazz, and 1 optional along with the Summer Intensive.
The Senior Company members are required to take a total of four classes (1 ballet; 2 jazz; 1 optional class) as well as the rehearsal classes for each dance they are competing in. Summer dance classes required: 1 ballet, 1 jazz, and 1 optional along with Summer Intensive. |

| Audition Workshops: |
|
 Our Audition Workshops allow each dancer to show their skill level and performance ability to our Dance Company Choreographer. Dancers will then be selected every year by audition only for our performing company.
The Audition Workshop will be held each May with the day and time to be announced each Spring. Auditions will consist of a short ballet & jazz/lyrical/ contemporary combination.
Solos, duets & trios are also selected from auditions to represent Steps Dance Company. |

| Summer Intensive: |
| Steps offers an annual Summer Intensive that is taught by master teachers brought in exclusively to train our dancers and set choreography for the coming year. The annual Summer Intensive is usually held in July, and is mandatory for all Steps Dance Company members. The majority of our routines for the coming year will be choreographed at the time of the intensive and also during the last two weeks of August. |

| The dance school at Steps Dance Center offers classes to children of all ages (kids through adults) in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tumbling, Gymnastics, Music Theater, Creative Movement, and Pilates. Steps Dance Studio has students from the surrounding communities, such as Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, Texas Corners, Oshtemo, Mattawan, Paw Paw, Schoolcraft, Vicksburg, Climax, Scotts, Gobles, Plainwell, Richland, Comstock, Galesburg and Three Rivers. |
