| Our mission is to have an atmosphere where dancers can have fun learning to dance, but there must also be a disciplined atmosphere in order to learn and excel at dance! Please respect the following rules so that Steps Dance Center can remain the premier dance studio in the Kalamazoo area. |

| Our Facility |
 We have the largest dance studio in the area... with 6,000 sq ft, we offer 3 large studios with "sprung floors" and state of the art flooring and equipment. We also have a very large waiting area / lounge for parents and students with sofas, tables and chairs, a kitchenette, beverage machine, magazines and even videos for your little ones while you wait... along with 3 bathrooms and another private costume changing room.

| Our Studio Rules |
 |
Disrespect of a dance teacher or other students will be addressed immediately and will not be tolerated. |
|
No gum chewing. |
|
No food / beverages in the studios. |
|
Hair must be securely tied back. |
|
No baggy shirts or warm-ups. |
|
No street shoes in studios. |
|
Level 3, 4 & 5 Jazz students must also take a ballet class. |
|
Pointe students must also take a full hour of flat ballet. |
|

| Our Studio Dress Code |

| Every dance studio, including Steps Dance Center, has specific attire that we ask you to wear for each type of dance class. Steps Dance & Apparel sells all of the clothing and shoes that you would need, in the newest styles and at very competitive prices. |

Tap: dancewear and beige heeled tap shoes for level 1 & 2;
black jazz tap shoes for level 3 & 4 |

Jazz: dancewear; black jazz shoes |
|
Ballet: Solid color leotard, pink footed tights without holes, pink ballet shoes & hair in secure bun |
|
Gymnastics: dancewear, footless tights or no tights; no shoe requirement |
|
Jazz / Gym: dancewear; black jazz shoes |
|
Ballet / Gym: Leotard; tights; pink ballet shoes |
|
Ballet / Jazz, & Jazz / Gym: Leotard; tights; pink ballet (Ballet /Jazz only) & black jazz shoes. |

Princess Ballerina: Leotard; tights; pink ballet shoes. |
|
Baby Ballerina: Any nonrestrictive clothing; barefoot or ballet shoes. |
|
Boys Class: Any nonrestrictive clothing; gym shoes. |

| The dance school at Steps Dance Center offers classes to children of all ages (kids through adults) in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tumbling, Gymnastics, Music Theater, Creative Movement, and Pilates. Steps Dance Studio has students from the surrounding communities, such as Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, Texas Corners, Oshtemo, Mattawan, Paw Paw, Schoolcraft, Vicksburg, Climax, Scotts, Gobles, Plainwell, Richland, Comstock, Galesburg and Three Rivers. |
